Value of a Volunteer       Volunteering for SATA's tennis programs is a rewarding opportunity to help us share and grow the game of tennis in San Antonio! Goals of a SATA Volunteer: To assist the program coordinator with development and implementation of a specific tennis program or activity to fullfill the organization's mission to grow tennis! To help SATA continue to improve the experience of participants in our programs as well as our fellow volunteers! To witness the smile of a child, the hug of a veteran or wounded warrior, and the determination of the handicapped to learn and play tennis! To continue to gain knowledge on the impact of tennis in our community! Knowing the responsibilities of a SATA volunteer will help make an informed decision if the job is right for you! Responsibilities of a SATA Volunteer: To help in the procedural process of a specific SATA program. To be prompt and on time for the SATA program. To wear tennis attire or similar active wear. To be ready for enthusiastic seekers of tennis. To help grow our database of volunteers by sharing the experience to others. To help in delivery of marketing materials to friends and teammates. To complete a SATA volunteer program survey, providing SATA valuable feedback to continue to improve the experience of a volunteer                                   . The qualifications of a SATA Volunteer are minimal to none! ANYONE can help introduce and grow the game of tennis! What does it take to be a SATA Volunteer? ANYONE can volunteer!  We prefer adults 21 years or older, but have many opportunities for younger volunteers as well! Some of our programs require a background check to be completed by SATA. Someone with a pleasant, personable manner that can provide positive and patient support to our participants. Someone who is dependable and punctual. Benefits of a SATA Volunteer: Recognition at the annual SATA Player/Volunteer Appreciation Event! Exposure to many SATA programs! Training and workshop fees paid by SATA! Stipends provided by SATA and USTA Texas Section for coordinating a program! Informative and descriptive guidelines for the program with easy to follow instruction! All equipment to operate program provided by SATA! Clip boards, pens, participation sheets, marketing materials provided by SATA! Easy registration on the SATA website! The opportunity to share this sport with others benefits the entire community and SATA could not do it without YOU…..our VOLUNTEERS!  Average length of commitment per program: A majority of SATA programs require 6 weeks, one day per week! Estimated hours per day at site-2 hours! BY ANY MEASURE, A VOLUNTEER IS A LEADER! THANK YOU FOR HELPING SATA GROW THE GAME WE LOVE!
